Went for dinner the other night with A and we decided to finally try PODI.
However, it was sadly disappointing. Totally not worth the buck.
We wanted to try the chicken wings and the butter garlic mussels. But were told that they were sold out by dinner time. So we thought to ourselves since those are sold out, the rest of the dishes should be good right?
Halfway right I guess. Generally it was a bleah dinner, the pulled pork benny was a lil weird with a heavy curry flavour in the meat. Duck was crisp, but meat lacked seasoning. The best part? The mayo that came with the truffle fries, the poached eggs and the aglio olio with the vine tomatoes.
Would I go back? Perhaps for the truffle fries, and maybe a second chance for other items on the menu, but prolly not going back for those dishes. The service staff were really attentive though. Thumbs up on that.
